So, people said that:

• The earth was flat!
• Whatever had to be invented was done and over by the time a motor car was invented!
• Music was dead in the 21st century!

But,
There are always people who believe differently and chose a different path all together.
This is the age when power-point prevails!! MEANING: Power in one point or power in every point!
In today’s instant noodles world, nobody has the time or the patience to sit and go through complete websites. Gone are the days when people would wait for the whole website to load and then scroll down till the bottom of what looked like four A4 sized sheets!!

Then, what came around as a revolution, just as when people thought that internet was getting boring: “THE ONE PAGE WEBSITE CONCEPT”

YES!

It has everything to do with a WEBSITE which has ONLY ONE PAGE!
Well, the concept is so unique as it completely fits in well with everything getting compact now-days, take for example : compact houses, cars, computers, mobiles.

This concept has many angles to it!

This means basically that, single paged websites act as very good riders for increasing your search engine ranks. One can easily get enlisted with search engines and this makes it easier for the users to just write the desired keywords so that the software running with the search engine catches the website faster than other sites. A great way to increase your SEO. ( search engine optimization)

An artists way: Its funny, but once I was out on a mission to discover one paged sites, I kept falling back and forth between more and more web designer’s and developer’s websites! And let me tell you that they are simply mind blowing. A good point to note in these sites was that, their playground, which was restricted to only 1 page here, brought the best out of them! Great use of photoshop and interesting use of JavaScript can also be seen in these sites.

Start-up Way : Most people/businesses who want to get online, now, find it much more convenient to just make a single page website which will be online to represent their presence! The benefits here are that:

(a) They are very cheap to get made (b) You are giving relevant information without the ever annoying and not to mention the cheesy lines just to impress people.

What all should a one page website consist of?
The answer to that is very simple! Just the information which you want to portray to your audience!
Hopefully, it should consist of YOUR NAME AND LOGO , INFORMATION ABOUT YOU OR YOUR ORGANIZATION, CONTACT INFORMATION! and you are good to go. If you are a developer, there is no harm in displaying your art a little below in the page after all the information is told.
AVOID using phrases like: “Hey, I am Jack and i am a web designer” or “Hello there, this is me, fell free to look around” ! Well I hope you get this point as this generally makes the viewers a little bored and it basically defies the use of a one paged website.

Rest assured! There can be an everlasting debate on as to how a complete website is better than a One Paged Website. And obviously a complete website, if nicely made has a lot of advantages! But lets not go there now.
