Doing justice to defining the “eMagzin‘s perspective” of the year 2010 is definitely not easy; putting that in words, even more so. This new year’s eve not only marks the end of the first decade of the millennium but also a year to eMagzin‘s presence on the World Wide Web. It has surely been an year to reminisce forever for us.

Needless to say, eMagzin has been through a fair share of ups and downs, on and off the charts with rankings hitting as low as 80000 Alexa worldwide in a span of 6 months, to being hit by the hackers leading to technical snags. But at the end of the day the site still stands tall with a determination and a promising future, and thats what matters – all the highs and lows between the sheets. The magazine managed to rise continuously in terms of readership all throughout the year, and is still going strong.

The year was not only about online articles and web designing.  eMagzin successfully organized The 1st Online Media Conference on 7th  August, 2010 in the city of Chandigarh. A daunting task for a website which had been online for just about 6 months, an even bigger feat was achieving what we aimed for.The OMC (1st Online Media Conference) was centered around the way Online media has brought about a paradigm shift in areas of personal communication, Business development, knowledge sharing and an era of global understanding. People from different forms of media came, discussed on how the internet was taking over the scene. They talked about the transitions , the pros and cons, the tacts to survive, the laws relating to online media, everything that anybody would need to know about the “cloud.” The conference was attended by foreign audience as well. OMC also created a lot of buzz on twitter.

Towards the end of the year, eMagzin also tried to contribute its bit to the society with an event by the name, “Wishtree.” It was a successful association with Karma Republic, a one-of-a-kind clothing brand, on an evening with the kids from the poorer section of the society , it was all about making wishes come true by sharing gifts , happiness and love on Christmas 2010.

All said and done, its been an year! and its hard to believe even for us, it may sound clichéd, but it feels just like yesterday.

This would all have never been possible without the support of our readers;Thank You!  eMagzin’s policy has always been that “our readers are our backbone”.  Every one in the Team-eMagzin has had the time of their lives in the past year, and is deeply grateful for your support.
